We are a family of five currently residing in the Durbanville area, after spending a few years in Johannesburg and Mumbai (India). As a family our passions are anything outdoors – at the moment we love mountain-biking in the beautiful Cape. We also love to travel and see new places and different people. To build and renovate homes is another passion. Stephan enjoys public speaking and doing motivational talks – which also happens to be part of his job. Melinda loves painting, the girls – Anika (8) and Danielle (6) – love doing crafts and sport and little Stephan (1) is great at kicking balls. We are quite involved at Logos Family Church in Bellville and join a weekly cell group meeting.

We started getting actively involved with Free To Serve mainly because of a longstanding relationship with Johann and Elna since the start of FTS in Stellenbosch in 1995. Johann also married us and blessed our way forward. We have been very inspired by the work of FTS, and became more involved through prayer and brainstorming ideas.

While living in India, Stephan got more involved with the FTS India work, giving strategic advice and directly experienced FTS at work. God placed us in India and therefore we have a great understanding of what FTS is doing in Asia. It is a privilege to be part of this great venture and move of God.
