“GO” in the strength you have
“Go in the strength you have…Am I not sending you.” (Judges 6:14)
You as our Partner in Missions is God’s strength in our work for the Lord – thank you só much!
We in FTS are like the little boy who is commissioned by his father: “Use all the power you have available and go and move the big rock in front of our house to the back of the yard”. Enthusiastic the little boy went and grabbed the big rock and tried to move it to the back of the house. But o gosh, he could hardly move the rock. Again and again he tried but to no avail…
Exhausted he went to his father and complained that the rock was just too big for him to move. His father then went with him and together they moved the big rock to the back of the yard. His father then said: “See you could do it!”. At which the boy replied: “No sir, it was not fair – now you helped me to do it”. At which his father replied: “No, I never said that you should do it on your own…I said you should use all the power which is available to you. And as my son you should have known that you have also my power at your disposal. You should just have asked me and I would have helped you.”
In these very difficult and trying economic times we live in we know that there are always “big rocks” which are hindering you and me. Let’s remember that our Heavenly Father’s power and strength are always available to us – we should just ask Him to move the “big rocks” out of our way and then trust on His assistance. Today we don’t know which “big rocks” are in your way – but we pray with you that the power of our Father will enable you to move these rocks out of your way!
